KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES
Kids In Glass Houses are a five piece rock band from Cardiff Wales, forming in 2003, the band is made up of,
Vocalist Ales Rees,
Lead Guitarist Joel Fisher,
Rhythm Guitarist Iain Mahanty,
Bass Guitarist Andrew Shay, and
Drums and Percussions Philip Jenkins.
Kids In Glass Houses released their full length debut EP on 9Th October 2006 entitled E-Pocalypse, which featured the single "Me Me Me".
As an unsigned band Kids In Glass Houses gained RARE and UNPRECEDENTED press coverage from the likes of KERRANG!, NME, BBC RADIO 1 and XFM, Lost-prophets vocalist IAN WATKINS claimed in an interview that KIGH are a lot better than some of the more well known bands out there.
In August the band was nominated for Best British Newcomer at the 2007 KERRANG! Awards, being narrowly beaten by the GALLOWS, That December the a band signed to ROADRUNNER RECORDS.
On May 26Th 2008 KIGH released their first debut album SMART CASUAL which entered the charts at number 26, SMART CASUAL featured the singles EASY TIGER, GIVE ME WHAT I WANT and SATURDAY.
On March 29Th 2010 they released their second album DIRT, this went in at number 15 on only its second day of release and ended up charting at number 27 in its first week. Singles released from the album included MATTERS AT ALL and UNDERCOVER LOVER featuring Frankie Sandford of the band THE SATURDAYS.
On August 15Th 2011 KIGH released IN GOLD BLOOD, their third album, this album charted at number 27 in the charts, but had more success in the us charts hitting the top position, DIAMOND DAYS and ANIMALS are singles to be released so fare.
