Thriller Picture Vinyl
I've always loved collecting music memorabilia, anything special edition or limited edition, books, magazines, CD'S , Record's ETC.
A few weeks back whilst I was at work I though I would check on our track system we use to see what was available , I started checking first for MICHAEL JACKSON CD'S or Record's, and to my surprise I come across a SPECIAL EDITION PICTURE VINYL of the THRILLER ALBUM.
Instantly I though to myself I wanted this!, So I put in a customer order for myself, now it was through a small supplier, so didn't think there was going to be much chance it would actually come in, but I thought what the hell cant hurt to try!
Amongst talking to a couple of my work colleges, I happen to tell them that I had ordered it, now my first college-our stock room lady-instantly told me there would be little chance of it coming in, my second work college-the assistant manager- also told me the same.
As I said to them if it doesn't come in, nothing lost, if it does bonus. Any ways they were both pretty much certain it wouldn't come in, hey ho I thought.
So for a few weeks after this i kept checking the customer order box and nothing, our stockroom lady kept saying to me-it isn't going to come in lol, so after a few weeks I give up checking, and to be honest after some time I actually forgot that I had ordered it............
So to my SURPRISE and to both of my work colleges, one Friday morning when I got in to work, our stockroom lady was doing the deliveries as normal......when she shouted me other in a surprised tone, and proceeded to produce my customer order from one of the boxes, my MICHAEL JACKSON SPECIAL EDITION PICTURE VINYL!
And let me tell you it was well worth the wait! it was AMAZING!!, better than I had imagined! And well worth the wait!
I have now framed it and it is hanging on my living room wall, alongside a framed METALLICA SO WHAT single vinyl and a MACHINE HEAD UNTO THE LOCUST single vinyl. Why I hear you ask are they framed ? and not being played ? simple, I want to preserve them and keep them in mint condition, as well as being able to show them to my kids, and tell them about them.
